The Old Mountain Stables

Accommodation

Review

“A lonely cloud floats leisurely by. We never tire of looking at each other-Only the mountain and I.” Li Bai.

The Old Mountain Stables are sequestered on Mynyddislwyn mountain; right in the heart of the South Wales Valleys. Offering guests the opportunity to enjoy a little serenity within a captivating rural setting, these four self-contained, sumptuous holiday lets afford magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Just a mere twenty minutes from Newport, and thirty to forty minutes from Cardiff, you’ll feel a whole world away: as this sympathetically converted accommodation is actually situated on a fully working farm. Providing guests with underfloor heating, master bedroom/family room with bespoke king size bed, dining area, fully functioning kitchen, living room, disabled and elderly people friendly, there’s also a splendid, spacious wet room. Why not treat yourselves and book a wood fuelled hot tub, and watch the abundant wildlife such as badgers, rabbits, woodpeckers, wild geese and ducks.
