This Museum is the perfect day out for all ‘The Quiet Man’ fans and aficionados. It comprises of authentic replicas of the artefacts, costumes and furnishings from the White O’Morn Cottage in the movie “The Quiet Man”. They also offer daily guided walking tours around the locations in which the film was shot in Cong village such as the courting scenes, the fight scenes, the patty fingers in the holy water font scene, the Pat Cohan Bar, the Dying Man’s house, the Reverend Playfair’s house and Innisfree. The walk is accessible for all, and gives you an opportunity to really immerse yourself in the scene stories and learn about why they were taken where they were, the magic behind it all, and how it impacted the lovely town and its residents. They have a delightful giftshop for those who would like to take home a token to remember what will definitely be a very memorable day.
