The Shed Distillery Tour
The Shed Distillery presents two distinct experiences in one tour – a Curious Journey into the Inner Sanctum of the first whiskey distillery in Connacht in 101 years and a voyage to the Far East to discover gunpowder tea, the inspiration behind Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin. Witness how every precious drop of Drumshanbo Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is slow-distilled by hand at this authentic Irish distillery and enjoy an expert whiskey tasting in the maturation hall. Embark on a curious botanical trail from Ancient China back to Drumshanbo, discovering Kaffir limes, oriental grapefruits and many another interesting botanical along the way. You will be granted entry to PJ’s secret tabernacle, home to his experiments and many strange artefacts discovered in far-off lands. Glimpse future ingredients grow in the glass botanical house, before enjoying a Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin at the Honey Badger bar. If you feel like a bite to eat, relax in the curious surrounds of our Jackalope Café, serving a range of fresh meals, snacks and speciality teas, coffees and cold beverages.
