Having recently been taken over by Dan Lea, one of Wales’s most experienced chefs. He has worked in some of the best kitchens in the UK, Dan has great ideas for the Star and assures me however, that this pub will always remain an honest country pub, but with locally sourced produce at its very core. Dan also owns one of Cardiff’s most prestigious pubs, the Kings Arms at Pentyrch, so I’m very excited to see what he has planned here. No matter what though, you're in safe hands and I’m sure under Dan’s supervision, you’ll love the food. I also think it’s worth mentioning the Star’s Sunday lunches. Being a Welsh pub, of course Lamb is on the menu, along with their locally sourced Beef & Pork and as this pub is very popular for Sunday lunches, I’d seriously recommend booking a table in advance, just to save being disappointed.
