The Thatch Inn
Review
We couldn’t endorse the Thatch Inn in Broughshane simply as just a place to eat in our ‘Food for Thought’ section, as there is so much history to this pub, I wanted to do it justice. So, I decided to feature it as one of my Hidden Gems! As one of Northern Ireland's oldest pubs, the building was built in 1773 and established as a pub in 1832. Broughshane is a friendly village and the owners of this pub have made sure that all those that walk through its doors arrive with a warm welcome and leave with a smile. The pub looks great from the outside and its owners have most certainly not skimped when it comes to its decor, then there’s the food on offer here. I found the menu to be not only very affordable, but the choice was extensive and the reviews really do speak for themselves.
