Chris Harrod, chef patron, and his wife Kirsty, manage a stylish restaurant with rooms. Their emphasis is on an experience of excellence throughout. They have already won a clutch of awards, including a Michelin star and 4 AA Rosettes. At the Whitebrook, our passion is to deliver flavour, creating new menus using the freshest ingredients. Our superb restaurant service combines with a relaxing ambience, so that our guests have a truly memorable dining experience.Chris and his team prepare original dishes using locally sourced food flavoured with freshly foraged herbs and plants to create the surrounding valley on the plate. We welcome guests to enjoy lunch, dinner or our tasting menu.To complete the peace and tranquillity of your visit, we offer eight comfortable rooms overlooking the glorious Wye Valley and woodland.

Chris Harrod (ex-Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons) delights in the abundance of produce that can be found simply by opening his front door - every dish on his menu, from breakfast through to dinner, features a foraged ingredient.Within 11 months of opening, The Whitebrook was awarded a Michelin star and the restaurant has since won an AA Wine Award for Wales and Inspectors’ Choice (Restaurant with Rooms) at the AA Hospitality Awards 2017 and become one of only 39 restaurants in the UK to hold 4 AA Rosettes. Along with a place in the 2017 Waitrose Good Food Guide Top 50 UK Restaurants, these prestigious accolades put The Whitebrook amongst the very best restaurants in the country.

The Whitebrook has eight comfortable rooms, where you can enjoy total relaxation amidst the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding Wye valley.Four of the rooms have been refurbished and redesigned to a high standard of contemporary style and luxury, with large ensuite rooms with large double ended bath and walk-in shower. We are also graded five stars by the AA and Welsh Tourist Board for restaurants with rooms.Treat a loved one to a foraging expedition and rural retreat at The Whitebrook. Guests are now invited a trip out into the countryside with expert forager Henry Ashby to hunt out ingredients destined for the restaurant's menu. Seasonal foraged ingredients sourced from the doorstep, along with comfortable and stylish rooms, are a sanctuary for overnight guests and will round off this gift experience nicely!
