The World of Beatrix Potter
The World of Beatrix Potter is a vibrant family attraction, bringing to life all 23 enchanting stories in a magical recreation of the beautiful Lake District countryside complete with sights, sounds and smells. Favourite characters from the famous books are featured including Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-winkle and Jemima Puddle-Duck and the outdoor Peter Rabbit Garden offers visitors a glimpse of the cabbages where Peter lost one of his shoes and the garden gate which he squeezed under as he tried to escape Mr. McGregor! Kids can enjoy a free activity sheet whilst the grownups absorb themselves in Miss Potter's fascinating history in the brand new digital and interactive exhibition space. With a superb character-themed family friendly café and a world-famous gift shop for visitors, all generations of visitors can experience a little bit of Beatrix Potter magic, whatever the weather!

We feature Big Attractions, we feature small attractions, but at the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, this is a small attraction with a Big name! Beatrix Potter is world renowned for her many tales of Peter Rabbit, Mrs Tiggy-winkle and not forgetting Jemima Puddle-duck, just to name but a few. I absolutely loved this attraction and the way it brings all of these household names to life. I have fond child hood memories of these stories, which all came flooding back as I made my way through this attraction. They say that a tour can take up to an hour and that is certainly true, but I would realistically allow two hours, as a trip here cannot be completed until you've had lunch in the award winning Beatrix Potter Tea-room. The food on offer here really is quite something else, and given the location, the prices are very reasonable.
