Tomatin Distillery & Visitor Centre
Review
Nestled perfectly within the Scottish Highlands, 16 miles South of Inverness, this award- winning distillery and visitor centre shows off the legacy that is Tomatin, which was originally established in 1897. Open all year round, Tomatin Distillery and Visitor Centre offers several differently priced tours around its facility as well as a gift shop. You can even fill your own bottle with their cask strength exclusive whisky to take home as a memento of your experience here. We really got a strong sense of family and community here. Although the distillery now has a Japanese owner, there are three generations of Scottish employees still working here who can be seen carrying out their day to day duties, adding to the family spirit (excuse the pun) that still exists all these years later. The tours here are informative, easy to understand and great value for money.
