It’s a firey, determined passion for brewing a proper decent pint, that burns brightly in the heart and soul of entrepreneur and Master Brewer; Stephen Cuneen. So the opportunity to actually tour this artisan craft brewery, based in the lively, vibrant city of Limerick, is too good to miss. The nostalgic, sound of gentle clip clopping horses hooves, herald his arrival, as he hand delivers the fruit of his labours: his barrels of craft beer, with as much tenderness as a new born bairn. After sojourning in Canada, Stephen returned to his roots in Limerick, a City rich with a fascinating history of brewing beer stretching back to the 18th Century. Treaty City Brewery is based in the Medieval Quarter, and having reached his goal towards; “Laying siege to bland tasteless beer,” it is his lucky customers who get to taste and take home this outstanding product.
