Waterford Marina Hotel
Review
This hotel’s tucked away right next to the River Suir, here in the heart of Waterford City and as such, makes it a real hidden gem. Complete with its very own underground car park and amazing views of the marina, I’m sure you’ll be more than happy here. Recently renovated to a very high standard, the company that owns this property really hasn’t skimped at all. Perfectly located within the city, you're only a stone's throw away from all of Waterford’s main attractions and the Viking Triangle and all of its museums are well within walking distance. The hotel boasts its waterfront restaurant, complete with an outdoor riverside terrace, perfect for that romantic meal! So, I don’t think there is really any need going out for food when you’ve got it all going on right here. All in all, this is a great little hotel and I was very impressed.
Food for thought
Having endorsed this hotel in my accommodation section for Co. Waterford, I couldn’t see why I shouldn’t showcase their food offerings also. With the hotel having two main food possibilities, the Waterfront bar & restaurant, or their outdoor riverside terrace, you’ll not be disappointed with either choice. Having looked at the menus on offer, they don’t seem to be breaking the bank, so, I’d definitely recommend eating here on your first night at least. Those of you looking to get married in Ireland, I’d seriously look at this hotel for your wedding reception. It's big enough for a large celebration but not too big you can’t have an intimate one also. I think it is also worth mentioning that non-residents are also welcome here, but you cannot book for the outside terrace, this is run on a first come, first serve basis, so to get there early if possible.
