Review
Owning this pub has been a lifelong dream of its owner John Cairns for many years and he’s a prime example of, if you want something and you work hard, it’s yours! John has painstakingly turned this once spit and sawdust pub into one of the areas leading places to eat and the food he is turning out on a daily basis is worthy of any culinary award, never mind the accolade of being in this book. From the minute you walk in, you are greeted at the door and taken to your table and the staff are really friendly with it. As well as the specials, the pubs main menu consists of decent pub food, locally sourced and on the day of my visit to the pub, I actually saw the food that was coming out and it was presented perfectly and the customers to which it was coming to, looked more than satisfied!
